Scope and process

What to assess before the work starts.

01

Clinical-workflow discovery

Start with the technology surrounding care delivery and administration.

  • Reception, consultation and administrative endpoints
  • Printers, scanners, displays and approved peripherals
  • Internet, switching, Wi-Fi, servers, storage and backups
  • EMR, imaging, laboratory and equipment-vendor dependencies

02

Patient-data safeguards

Technical controls support the organisation's obligations; they do not constitute legal certification.

  • Named authorised contacts and access approval
  • Identity, device encryption and endpoint protection
  • Network separation and guest-access review
  • Backup ownership, verification and recovery responsibilities

03

Support and vendor coordination

Define who owns each incident before a support contract begins.

  • Remote and scheduled onsite user support
  • Microsoft 365 and business-device administration
  • Connectivity and infrastructure projects
  • Documented escalation to clinical-software and equipment vendors

Scope boundaries before quotation

Assessment confirms compatibility, delivery ownership, timing, dependencies and price.

  • TechFix provides technical assessment and support, not medical, legal or PDPA compliance certification.
  • Clinical applications and medical equipment remain subject to the responsible vendor unless an accepted proposal explicitly states otherwise.
  • Response times, monitoring, recovery objectives and after-hours coverage apply only when written into an accepted contract.
  • Patient-data access requires customer authorisation, minimum necessary access and agreed handling procedures.

Tell us enough to scope the next step. We review the request before confirming price, feasibility, dates or service targets. Expect an initial response within one business day; complex scopes may need a follow-up call or site assessment.

Frequently asked questions

Can TechFix certify PDPA compliance?

No. TechFix can assess and implement agreed technical controls and document findings for the organisation and its advisers. It does not provide legal certification.

Do you support EMR or medical equipment directly?

TechFix can assess endpoints, connectivity, identity and vendor dependencies. Direct application or equipment support is included only when capability and responsibility are explicitly verified in writing.

How is access to patient information controlled?

The assessment identifies authorised contacts, systems, access methods, approval paths and handling requirements before any support access is granted.
