Corporate Device Repair and Fleet Reporting for Malaysian Teams.

DeviceCare gives teams with 10–250 laptops or desktops one repair intake, one asset register, written approval before work and monthly fleet reporting. TechFix supplies the parts used for approved repairs; customer-supplied parts are not accepted.

Packages start at RM2,000 a month. For smaller fleets the minimum, not the per-device rate, may set the price — the estimator shows the exact result.

Service fit

Is DeviceCare right for us?

Yes, if

  • You have 10 or more devices and no register you trust
  • Repairs go to whichever vendor answers first
  • Joiners and leavers happen often enough to need a checklist
  • Finance cannot see repair spend until the invoice arrives
  • You already have IT people, and they should not be carrying laptops

Not on its own, if

  • Staff also need a helpdesk for software, accounts and email — that is Managed IT Services
  • You need someone to run Microsoft 365 or identity administration
  • The real problem is the network, firewall or servers
  • You are buying security monitoring rather than device operations
  • You have fewer than about 10 devices — the minimum makes it uneconomic

Where DeviceCare stops

DeviceCare owns the physical fleet — inventory, assignment, condition, maintenance, diagnosis, repair, warranty, joiner and leaver preparation, lifecycle planning. It is deliberately not a complete outsourced IT department. Network management, Microsoft 365, cybersecurity, and servers are part of Managed IT. You can buy DeviceCare alone and upgrade later without paying twice.

Operating model

Eight stages, and it closes back on itself.

Every promise on this page attaches to one of these stages, with a deliverable and an owner. Stage eight feeds stage one — that is what makes it a service rather than a series of repairs.

Service targets

Seven clocks, not one "response time".

Collapsing these into a single figure is how service contracts end in argument. Each clock starts on a different event, and three of them can be paused by something outside our control.

ClockStarts whenCoreManaged

2. Remote triageAcknowledgement is sentSame business dayPriority queue

The clock pauses when

We are waiting on your approval, on site access, on the physical device, or on a part. Those pauses are recorded against the ticket and appear in the monthly report.

What no clock covers

Acknowledgement is not a fix. Attendance is not a fix. Diagnosis is not a fix. There is no SLA target for repair completion because parts availability depends on supply chains.

Worked example

40 laptops, 30 people — and what the upgrade actually costs.

An agency-shaped fleet: 40 managed laptops, 30 staff, 30 monitors. Both DeviceCare tiers and the Managed IT step are priced out in full.

DeviceCare Core
RM3,200 /mo

40 × RM60. Above RM2,000 minimum. Register, triage, approval workflow and reporting.

DeviceCare Managed
RM4,800 /mo

40 × RM90. Adds joiner/leaver workflows, preventive maintenance, priority queue and 4 onsite hours.

Upgrade
Managed IT Services
RM4,470 /mo
30 × RM149 · quoted as RM4,500

RM330 below DeviceCare Managed, because Managed IT prices by user rather than device while adding helpdesk, account support and broader IT ownership.

Why Managed IT is cheaper in this shape

DeviceCare Managed at RM4,800 covers 40 laptops. Managed IT at RM4,470 covers 30 people and their supported devices — direct helpdesk, access support, and broader IT ownership. With more devices than staff, the per-user model is the better commercial fit.

The 70-endpoint temptation

Counting the 30 monitors as managed endpoints would make this RM8,400 a month instead of RM4,800. Monitors do not generate tickets or hold data. They are recorded in the register and not billed.

Supported, and honestly unsupported.

Supported

Business laptops & desktops running Windows or macOS, docks, and standard business peripherals.

Recorded, not maintained

Monitors and peripherals sit in the register for audit, and are not billed as managed devices.

Not supported under DeviceCare

Servers, network equipment, mobile phones, active OEM warranty repairs, obsolete units without parts, data recovery.

Loaner devices

Excluded from both packages. We recommend holding a small spare pool in your own register.

Add-on module

Employee Device Turnaround.

A repeatable cycle for a device between two employees. Bought on top of either tier when leaver volume is high.

Commercial treatment
Quoted separately

Excluding parts and courier. Work varies depending on condition and what the previous holder left behind.

FAQ

Before procurement asks.

No, and we will not describe it that way. DeviceCare covers the device workflows listed on this page. Onsite hours are counted, parts and labour are quoted, and anything that is really a project is quoted as one.
