Cracked Screen Warning
If your Surface Pro has a cracked screen, avoid pressing on the cracks as this can damage the digitizer underneath. A cracked screen can also cut your fingers. Bring it in promptly for safe screen replacement to prevent further damage.

Six steps, two to three hours. A Surface display is glued in, not screwed in. Most of the skill in this repair is getting the old one off without cracking the chassis or the new one — which is why it takes an afternoon and why we do not offer a fifteen-minute version.
Screen Assessment
Complete diagnostic to evaluate screen damage, touch functionality, digitizer response, and Surface Pen support. Identify exact Surface Pro model and screen type required.

Power off the Surface Pro completely. Disconnect all cables and accessories. Document current settings and create backup if needed.
Safe Disassembly
Apply controlled heat around the display edges to soften adhesive. Carefully separate the glued PixelSense display using plastic tools. Disconnect display and digitizer cables from motherboard.
Screen Installation
Install the new original-quality PixelSense display assembly. Connect display and digitizer cables securely. Apply fresh adhesive strips around the display perimeter.
Quality Testing
Power on the Surface Pro and test all display functions. Check for dead pixels, touch response, Surface Pen pressure sensitivity, and Windows Hello camera. Verify color accuracy and brightness levels.
Final Assembly
Carefully seal the display with proper pressure to ensure adhesive bonds correctly. Clean the new screen with microfiber cloth. Perform final quality check and warranty documentation.
You cannot replace just the glass.
On Surface devices the glass digitiser is bonded to the LCD as a single assembly. Shops that quote you a cheap "glass only" repair are either separating a bonded panel — which tends to come back with touch faults and colour shift — or they are quoting for a job they will upsell later. We replace the complete assembly, and we would rather lose the price comparison than have you back in a month.
