Student Laptop Repair Malaysia: RM80 Diagnosis
Students pay an RM80 diagnosis fee for Windows laptops and MacBooks, instead of the standard fee. Show a valid student ID at drop-off, and the fee is waived when you approve the repair quote.

What is covered, and what is not
The student rate is for the diagnosis fee on laptops. Repairs are priced as normal once the technician has diagnosed the fault.
Covered
- The diagnosis of a Windows laptop or MacBook at RM80
- The fee waived when you approve the repair quote
- No Fix No Fee, as on the fee policy page
- Any student at a school, college, polytechnic or university, with a valid student ID
Not covered
- Phones, tablets, desktops, consoles and other devices (they pay the standard diagnosis fee)
- The repair itself: parts and labour are quoted at normal prices after the diagnosis
- Any other discount
How the student diagnosis works
Four steps from booking to a repaired laptop. You approve the repair quote before any repair is done.
Book or walk in
Book online, or walk in at our Sunway workshop during opening hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM.
Show your student ID
Show a valid student ID at drop-off. If you are sending the laptop by courier, WhatsApp us a photo of the ID first.
We diagnose and quote
You pay the RM80 student diagnosis fee. The technician finds the fault and gives you a repair quote.
Approve and repair
Approve the quote and the diagnosis fee is waived. If we cannot fix it, you pay nothing under No Fix No Fee.
Sending it by courier
There is no free pickup. You courier the laptop to TechFix, and TechFix couriers it back to you free. WhatsApp a photo of your student ID before you send it.
