Lenovo Service Centre Malaysia vs Independent Repair
A Lenovo laptop that is still in warranty, or covered by an extended plan, belongs with the official Lenovo service centre first. Once cover has ended, TechFix is an independent option, with a transparent quote before any repair starts.
- Out-of-warranty repairs
- Quote before any repair
- Courier in, free courier back
TechFix is an independent repair provider, not an authorised service centre for Lenovo.

Which should you choose for your Lenovo laptop?
The deciding question is simple: does Lenovo (or a plan you bought) still cover the laptop?
Start with the official Lenovo centre if
- The laptop is still covered by the Lenovo warranty
- You bought an extended warranty or accidental-damage cover
- It is a work ThinkPad on a company warranty or support contract
- You want Lenovo's own records to show the repair
TechFix makes sense if
- Your IdeaPad, ThinkPad, Legion or Yoga is out of warranty
- You pay for the repair yourself and want the quote before any work
- You can walk in at Sunway, or courier it in and get it couriered back free
- You need a battery, screen, keyboard or charging port replaced
The official Lenovo service route
Lenovo's Malaysian support site has a "Find a Lenovo Service Provider or Reseller" search where you choose your product type and location. It is an interactive search, so we have not copied any addresses. If the laptop belongs to your employer, ask your IT team first, because a company contract may decide where it goes.
Service centres listed by Lenovo
We have not copied any service-centre addresses onto this page, because addresses and opening hours change. Use the official locator for the current list.

Warranty programmes named by Lenovo
Check the warranty terms that came with your device, and any extended cover or accidental-damage plan you bought. What those cover is the brand's decision, not TechFix's.
Lenovo official service vs TechFix: side by side
Both routes are legitimate. The table shows where each one fits, so you can pick on facts rather than a sales line.
| Lenovo official service vs TechFix: side by side | Official Lenovo service | TechFix (independent) |
|---|---|---|
| Best for | Devices still in warranty, or covered by an extended or accidental-damage plan | Out-of-warranty repairs that you pay for yourself |
| Warranty terms | Repairs follow the brand's own warranty terms | An independent repair can affect the brand's warranty terms. That is the brand's decision, so check before you book if you are still covered |
| Parts | Parts and repair method follow the brand's own process | TechFix supplies all parts. We do not fit parts that you bring |
| Quote | Ask the centre what applies to your fault | A transparent quote after diagnosis, before any repair work starts |
| Diagnosis fee | Ask the centre what applies to your fault | RM100, waived in full when you approve the repair quote |
| Turnaround | Set by the centre. Ask for the estimate when you book | Confirmed at diagnosis. We do not promise same-day |
| Getting the device there | Check the brand's support site for how to submit the device | Walk in at Sunway (Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM), or courier it in. We courier it back free |
| Warranty on the repair | As set by the brand | 90-day TechFix repair warranty |
| Your files | Back up first, and ask whether your repair can erase the drive | TechFix does not recover data. Back up first, because some repairs wipe the drive |
| ThinkPad on a company contract | A corporate warranty or service contract usually decides the route, so ask your IT team first | TechFix suits laptops that are out of warranty and paid for by you or your company |
