Cracked 13-inch Screen
The Pro 9 shares the 13-inch 120Hz PixelSense Flow panel with the Pro 8. Cracks and dead pixels require a full display assembly replacement — touch digitiser is fused to the panel.
Battery Drain
Intel and SQ3 models use different battery cells (47.4 Wh vs 49.5 Wh). Both are replaceable. If you're charging more than twice a day, it's time for a swap.
SSD Upgrade (Intel Only)
The Intel Pro 9 has the same removable M.2 SSD as the Pro 8. We upgrade to 1TB or 2TB with full data migration. Note: SQ3 ARM storage is soldered and cannot be upgraded.
5G / LTE Connectivity
The SQ3 model features an integrated 5G modem with nano SIM. SIM tray damage, antenna issues, and 5G detection failures are repairable. Intel models use Wi-Fi 6E only.
Thunderbolt 4 Port Issues
Both Pro 9 variants include dual Thunderbolt 4 / USB 4 ports. Charging failures, video-output problems, and bent connector pins are all repairable.
Overheating (Intel Model)
The Intel Pro 9 uses a larger vapour chamber than the Pro 8 but still throttles under sustained loads when vents are blocked. Cleaning and re-paste restores full performance.
