We will always tell you exactly what part is being used before we proceed, so you can make an informed decision. If a original Apple part is available and you prefer it, we can accommodate that request.
Will repairing at TechFix void my Apple warranty?
If your device is still under Apple's limited warranty or covered by AppleCare+, getting it repaired at a non-Apple authorised provider may void that warranty for the specific component repaired. If you are in warranty, we recommend using Apple's authorised service for that repair. For out-of-warranty devices (most MacBooks more than 1 year old), this is not a concern. TechFix provides its own 90-day warranty on all repairs.
