Glass vs LCD vs Full Assembly
What actually gets replaced depends on your iMac model year. Understanding this helps set the right expectations before you visit.
Outer Glass Only
On pre-2012 iMacs the outer glass is held by magnets and can be removed without damaging the LCD underneath. If only the glass is cracked and the LCD is perfect, we can replace glass alone — saving significant cost.
Fused Display Assembly
From 2012 onwards, Apple permanently bonds the LCD and glass into one panel assembly. Cracked glass means the entire display must be replaced — there is no glass-only repair option. This is the case for all 4K, 5K, and M1/M3 Retina panels.
Full Display + Stand Assembly
The 24" M1 and M3 iMac have the display, speakers, and camera integrated into the lid assembly. Screen replacement requires specialist handling of this full unit. We stock OEM-grade replacement panels for both generations.

Precision Disassembly
Using calibrated heating tools, we gently loosen the adhesive seal around the iMac chassis to lift the display without damaging the frame or internal components.
Panel Replacement
The faulty display assembly is disconnected and the new panel installed. We verify resolution, colour accuracy, brightness, and touch (where applicable) before sealing.
Reseal & Quality Check
Fresh adhesive is applied and the iMac is resealed. A full functional test covers dead pixels, backlight uniformity, colour calibration, and display cable integrity.
