M1, M2, and M3 MacBook Air models have no internal fan. Under sustained CPU or GPU loads — video rendering, large spreadsheets, extended Zoom calls — the chip throttles to prevent thermal damage. The only fix is managing workloads or upgrading to a MacBook Pro. However, dust on the bottom vents and a damaged heat spreader can worsen throttling unnecessarily.
MacBook Air models have an extremely thin display flex cable running through the thin hinge. Repeated opening and closing fatigues the cable over time, causing intermittent display lines, flickering, or complete backlight failure. We replace the display assembly, restoring full brightness and color accuracy.
The 2018 and 2019 MacBook Air adopted Apple's butterfly mechanism keyboard, which is prone to stuck or unresponsive keys from dust contamination.
