Surface Pro 8 Cracked Screen Replacement - PixelSense Display Restored
Touch and pen functionality fully restored with premium display
Benjamin's Surface Pro 8 slipped from his desk, shattering the PixelSense display. We replaced the entire screen assembly including touch digitizer and Surface Pen support, restoring full functionality for RM 1,199 - much cheaper than Microsoft's RM 2,480 quote.
The Transformation
Before & After Results
Benjamin, an architect in Cyberjaya, dropped his Surface Pro 8 while moving between meeting rooms. The device landed screen-first on tile flooring, creating a spiderweb crack pattern across the entire 13-inch PixelSense display. While the Surface still powered on, the touchscreen was completely unresponsive in the cracked areas, Surface Pen digitizer wasn't working at all making drawing impossible, and glass fragments were creating safety concerns. He needed his Surface for client presentations and CAD work with the pen. Microsoft quoted RM 2,480 for repair with a 7-10 day turnaround - too expensive and too slow for his project deadlines.
Spiderweb crack pattern across entire 13-inch screen
Touch completely unresponsive in 60% of screen area
Surface Pen digitizer not working at all
Glass fragments creating safety hazard
Display still visible but unusable for work
Microsoft quoted RM 2,480 with 7-10 day wait
Surface screen replacements are notoriously difficult due to the bonded display construction. We used professional heat mats to carefully soften the adhesive, then used specialized prying tools to separate the damaged screen from the chassis without damaging internal components. The replacement involved a complete PixelSense display assembly with integrated touch digitizer and pen digitizer layers. After installation, we recalibrated both the 10-point multi-touch and Surface Pen pressure sensitivity using Microsoft's diagnostic tools. We tested all 4,096 pressure levels of pen input and verified palm rejection functionality.

"I was devastated when I dropped my Surface Pro 8. Microsoft wanted RM 2,480 and said it would take over a week. As an architect, I use my Surface Pen daily for CAD drawings - I couldn't wait that long or spend that much. Techfix completed the repair in 2 days for RM 1,199. Zulkifli was very careful and the screen looks perfect. The touch and pen work exactly like they did when new - all 4,096 pressure levels work perfectly. I can do precise architectural drawings again. Saved me over RM 1,200 and got my Surface back quickly. Highly recommend!"
